The Haitian people are in mourning as they accompany President Jovenel to his final resting place. The Head of State was brutally murdered in his home a few days ago, and his wife was injured. Today is the day of the funeral: Haitians are in pain, anger and anguish.
The State of the African Diaspora wishes to express its sympathy to the President’s family, his loved ones and the entire nation, and the Prime Minister, Dr Louis-Georges Tin, made the following statement:
“Beyond the suffering, moments of mourning are also moments of reunion for the whole family. This is why we wish to bring all our help to the new government, which will be faced with major challenges. But the country of Toussaint Louverture will be able to overcome the obstacle, and we are ready to work with the entire nation,” the Prime Minister concluded.

Plong茅 dans le deuil, le peuple ha茂tien accompagne aujourd鈥檋ui le Pr茅sident Jovenel dans sa derni猫re demeure. Le chef d鈥櫭塼at a 茅t茅 assassin茅 sauvagement 脿 son domicile il y a quelques jours, et son 茅pouse a 茅t茅 bless茅e. C鈥檈st aujourd鈥檋ui qu鈥檕nt lieu les fun茅railles聽: les Ha茂tiens sont en ce jour douleur, col猫re, angoisse.
