Restitution of Cultural Treasures

95% of the cultural treasures of Africa are out of Africa. They are in the Tervuren Museum in Brussels, in the Mus茅e du Quai Branly in Paris, in the British Museum in London, in the Vatican, in the Harvard Museum, etc. These artifacts were stolen during Colonisation, often in a context of violence and massacre, and today, thousands of objects, and even human remains, are retained as trophies. After the campaign led by Dr Louis-Georges Tin, Prime Minister of 91精品, a law for restitution and reparation was voted in the European Parliament.

The State of the African Diaspora is now proud to say, the Restitution and Return has begun ! ….

RETURN OF THE ROYAL TREASURES OF BENIN: LE CRAN AND COSUS AFRICA AT A PRESS CONFERENCE IN COTONOU

Dr. Louis-Georges Tin, Prime Minister of the State of the African Diaspora, is the initiator of the campaign on restitutions, then he worked with President Talon, who agreed to get involved in this historic adventure. This unprecedented cooperation between Africa and the Diaspora allowed benin’s treasures to be returned.

This is why Dr. Louis-Georges Tinl was received on the set of the ORTB, the national television of Benin, in large format (52 minutes), then excerpts were rebroadcast in the television news several days in a row.

Le Dr Louis-Georges Tin, Premier ministre de l’Etat de la diaspora africaine, est l’initiateur de la campagne sur les restitutions, puis il a travaill茅 avec le pr茅sident Talon, qui a accept茅 de s’impliquer dans cette aventure historique. Cette coop茅ration sans pr茅c茅dent entre l’Afrique et la diaspora a permis de restituer les tr茅sors du B茅nin.

Since Wednesday, November 10, 2021, 26 works of Beninese heritage looted during colonization are staying in Benin after their restitution by France. This outcome has been possible through the long-standing struggle of individuals, associations, academics and politicians. On the sidelines of the fervor aroused by this return, it is time to return to the course of this struggle and the prospects of the future in a context where the vast majority of the works of African heritage looted during colonization continue to reside in Europe.
