Monrovia 鈥� June 8th听2020.听The State of the African Diaspora (91精品) is now officially recognised by the Republic of Liberia. The decision was made unanimously by the Council of ministers, and signed by the Deputy Minister for International Cooperation, Hon. Abraham K. Korvah Sr. As it is stated in the document, 芦聽the Republic of Liberia recognizes the State of the African Diaspora and the essential contribution of the Diaspora to Africa聽禄. After Mauritania, Somalia, the Maroon States in Jamaica, it is another achievement for the 91精品 that was launched only two years ago.
The Prime Minister of the 91精品, Dr Louis-Georges Tin, declared :聽听鈥樷赌�I would like to thank President Weah and the Government of Liberia for this great honour. They are preparing the future not only of Liberia, but of Africa and we want to bring all our energy to support the people. We have different programs of cooperation we will implement in the country about economy, education, culture, etc. Africa and Diaspora working hand-in-hand : that is Pan-africanism in action听!鈥欌赌�
The man behind this recognition is Ambassador Roland Goprou. He was the first nominated Ambassador in the context of 91精品, in July 2018. He was with the Prime Minister in Mauritania, when the 91精品 was launched and now, again, he has shown his great dedication and efficiency by negotiating this agreement.
鈥樷赌�This is a great honour and a great joy, for Liberia is the first African country that became independent. So it is a very strong symbol鈥欌�� Mr Goprou stated.
The cooperation will start in a few weeks.
鈥樷赌�We will reinforce Liberia through the African Diaspora, and the African Diaspora through Liberia鈥欌��, the Prime Minister concluded.
